Non-GMO Soybean Oil

 

Soybean Oil is commonly used in food manufacturing and restaurants as a neutral ingredient or a fry oil.  It has a very light, neutral flavor, and is almost clear in color.  It has a high heat tolerance which makes it ideal for sautéing, baking and frying.  It has a low cost in comparison to other similar oils, and is one of the most commonly used vegetable oils in the world.

How it's made: Soybean Oil is made from soybeans, a legume grown from the soy plant.  The seeds used for the Non-GMO Soybean Oil are made from a strain that has not been genetically modified.  The extract the oil, the seeds are de-hulled and crushed and the oil is obtained using a solvent or expeller pressing.  To create a mild, pleasant tasting flavor, the oil is refined, bleached and deodorized.
